Cyprus Voted Best For Property Investment

Cyprus is not only an ideal holiday destination for all ages, but now a confirmed safe and profitable property investment choice.

--- A Place in The Sun has voted Cyprus the best place in the world for investment in property. Scoring high on all index criteria, from new property developments, political and economic climate to Internet hits and media coverage, Cyprus beat newcomer to the EU, Bulgaria, as well as Turkey, Romania and the UK's second-home favourites France and Spain.

Nine out of the top ten countries to make money from overseas property were in Europe. The UK was ranked seventh.

Always a popular destination for its year round sun, Cyprus has numerous luxury attractions including a PGA golf course and state of the art marinas at Paphos and Limassol, and with two new international airports planned, Cyprus's appeal and accessibility is growing all the time.

Cyprus's application to join the eurozone in 2008 should lower interest rates and make borrowing easier. 2007 is already set to be a good year in anticipation, with international estate agents Knight Frank predicting capital value growth of 12.5%.
